New color LCD screen for SONDORS XS

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I purchased a new Sondors XS when it was first released (still don’t have it, end December I’m told).  Also purchased a recently promoted LCD/controller upgrade for my existing Sondors X. Questions:

1) are they the same LCD?

2) what model of LCD are they?

3) please send the link to the user manual

I am eager to reconfigure the settings as soon as I get these so having this info on hand will help me.

thanks

SamCR

So i have a related question..... Apparently sonders is selling some Color LCD display  for older FOLD X it also comes with a bigger 25A controller.

Does anyone have any experience with these, sounds tempting, but worry about excessive battery drain when offroad. Also if they going to change 250 or so for the kit it sure as heck have a way to bypass the 20mph speed limit function.

Other than a kind of useless color display that just eats up more power think other folks offer aftermarket lcd and 25a control that not only give more power but also do away with silly speed limiter.

Does anyone use one of the aftermarket kits I mention or have any experience with this new color lcd +control  kit for foldx?

Hi Reddy kW, this is not the correct LCD screen model. I have purchased a controller/LCD upgrade for my Sondors X which I believe is the same one as the Sondors XS (I will receive my new XS very soon). The new screen is portrait oriented rather than landscape as the KT3 is and has many more features as well as a color display. Do you know the model of this LCD screen? Please see attached scan from Sondors basic user manual. Do you have access to the user manual?

Apparently although the xs is the same lcd, apparently there is a different pw then with the upgrade kit.  If you search threads on sondors Facebook group a poster there apparently has the xs pw, but I think you need to pm him.

Hi just a question about the LCD screen for the Fold XS how much power is being pushed out for the USB connector sent with the bikes as well as if there's any good lights that I could use that light up when I brake or turn on when the bike is switched on

You can use your multimeter to measure the output.
I have answered recent posts on that USB port not powering new, more current demanding phones (but a very powerful multi Li ion 18650 battery bank, that will charge any phone, tablet or laptop) and the one aftermarket vendors supply’s, plug and play front and rear lights (plus horn) if you have that extra Higo connector on your controller.

I bought an MXS in August and noticed it was a different LCD than on the site (blue graphics with no USB charging port on the side).  It has a separate cable to charge your phone.  It didn't charge the phone.  I've received a replacement and it still not charging my iphone 10.  Is there something I need to set?

Really great bike, except for this minor inconvenience.

No setting will deliver more current from the LCD’s USB port, that the iPhone 10 requires. As already stated in a previous post, you’ll need the addition of a Li ion 18650 battery bank, in between the LCD and IPhone. I use them on both my Electric Black and Electric White Lightnings and carry them in the top tube trunks. I also power my high current demand lights on both bikes thru my 4 - cell battery banks.
