Mate I’ve been trying to find that out for a while now. I don’t think anyone knows.

I contacted the company in China that makes the LCD. He told me that their customers (Sondors for example) decides which features they want. So since they didn’t want the clock it can’t be enabled. Seems silly for any bike computer to not have a clock but maybe it’s cheaper that way.

Damn my guy. That is impressive that you track the company down and called them up to ask them. This make a ton of sense known because someone else told me that they block certain features because it is illegal it some states and so they don’t get sued they take them off.

Actually I emailed them, not called. I don’t think I would even know how to call China. I’m not sure why it would be illegal to have a clock on a bike computer anywhere but I guess it’s possible!

The other crazy thing about this square LCD is that when you turn it off it resets the ride to time back to zero. It retains the mileage though. The rectangular LCD did not behave that way.  It would retain all the information about a ride even if you turned it off.

Sorry my bad. And I don’t know why. Another question why did they use the square instead of the rectangle then if the rectangle is better? Probably money but there has to be a reason because I payed a ton of money for the bike.

It’s not illegal for the clock but it is in a settings page that can do other things that can break laws in certain states.

I have the stated remedies to adjust my PAS settings and they work but it shuts off all throttle function and the speed is displayed incorrectly. Anyone have any insight on this? I have resorted to setting back to default settings.

Hi,

I have fold x, single speed 48v, 500w, delivered in June2018,  same problem, I tried to change PAS settings and now throttle function is lost and I have no clue how to get it back, tried default settings but throttle function not regained or only works briefly. Before I was able to accelerate to full speed using throttle without any pedal assist and defaulted to pass 2;  now I always have to use pedal assist to aim speed, regardless of level of assistance 1-5; btw 0 is just zero, no pedal assistance , no throttle.

Not sure where to check that,  just to clarify  all was ok until i reset lcd,   after that i lost the ability to use throttle, so to  now to gain speed  only pedal assist can help... good for physical activity but many times  too annoying. I am thinking other functions had been reset and  those parameters should be different not as default...

Can anyone share with their parameters for    Controller Over-current Cut Settings  or Magnet Quantity Settings or Speed Sensor or Throttle Definition (optional) Throttle Push-assistance Enable/Disable or PAS Speed Settings  or Slowly Start Up Settings? i am thinking to change those from default  to other values maybe i will be able to use throttle again.

It looks like the magnet disc is touching the sensor in the sensor’s location but the disc is crooked on the spindle.  Make sure it’s touching the sensor throughout its rotation.

You will need to reset your LCD to the original  configuration. You’ll need Sondors the company’s help.

Sondors.com, now forces you to join Facebook for support.  You need to go to the Sondors Storm Owners Group on Facebook.  Once there ask to join.

Once inside, there is a link to a support form that you can use to get to Sondors tech support.  Not sure why you haven't been able to get a direct response from Sondors.com or if you have even tried.

While in the Group, I suggest opening up a thread and asking the community for help on this as well. That will trigger folks' to tag the Sondors support reps who frequent that group and who are tasked with fast-tracking help in situations like yours - assuming they do not see your post themselves and contact you directly.

Yes.   I tested it yesterday and it worked well.  20mph is plenty fast enough.   At the end of my ride, I turned off the LCD to carry over a snowbank form the street to my sidewalk and when I turned it back on, the battery indicator showed empty.  I looked at the settings and somehow, all the battery indicatores 1thru5 showed 46 volts.  I changed those to 20, 25, 30, 36, 40 and Got five bars on a fully charged battery.  Then I freewheeled and found my top speed was on 16mph.   Tried to open top sped to see if it was changed, but couldn't find the way to open wheel size and top speed.   I must have accidently change another setting, because the freewheel speed now reads 18mph, but you can see it is turning much slower.
It is hard to follow the PDF directions to open tire size and top speed.  Anybody know how to do that?  And is there a list of settings, to see if I inadvertently changed something?   Thanks!

Hello man, a question: how you find the "tire size" and "top speed" in the panel? i want to change my max speed because i got just 25km/h  i can't find it man.. thanks in advance..

Please access the personalized parameter settings.

To access Personalized Parameter Settings items option page, hold both the “+” and the “-” button for 2 s, then hold both the “+” and the “-” button for 2 s again. To access the corresponding settings page we need, press the “+” or the “-” button to increase or decrease until the desired item (Battery Power Bar Settings Interface - see image) is displayed, and then press the “i” button to confirm.

To set battery power bar, press the “+” or the “-” button to increase or decrease the number. To store a changed setting and access the second bar, press the “i” button. By analogy, after 5 bars voltage values is entered, the values are for 48V batteries:

VOL1: 41.2

VOL2: 43.7

VOL3: 46.8

VOL4: 49.9

VOL5: 53

hold the “i” button to confirm and then return to the previous menu.

Hey where can I find the default for the 36v

Hi All

I've got the European Thin 7-speed. I've had a look through the KD51C  manual and lots of the 'general parameter settings' that you access by holding down + and - are missing. I can only see  3 pages of these settings on mine.

Within 'personalised parameter settings' the 'Max speed limited' is already set to 40 so I'm guessing they have deactivated the general option that lets me edit the speed limiter.

What I am looking for is to increase the speed on the speed limiter but it looks like I am not able to do this. Right now PAS cuts out once I get to 25 km/h

Anyone know a way to do it or a workaround?

Thanks

      * The best way to use this video is to watch and write down the desired options, then exit and program your LCD. if you try and program while watching the video your LCD will timebout and none of the settings will be saved and you’ll have to keep starting over because of the length of Kyles explanations .

DIY: S-LCD3 Meter for Sondors eBike

This walkthrough is for those who purchased the non Sondors S-LCD3 with the white flat 5-pin connector. If you are not comfortible with soldering, then you may want to wait for the retail Sondors LCD in xmas 2015.
      Walkthrough by Matt Moss
      Downloadable at uberbills.com/DIY-SLCD3-Soldering.docx
      S-LCD3 purchased from BMSBattery.com

      Tools:
      Screwdriver
      Wire Strippers
      Soldering iron
      60/40 Solder

Step 1: Attach LCD3 to handlebars

Step 2: Snip off the useless white flat 5-pin connector.

Step 3: Pull meter cable through top hole in sondors battery box. (no picture)

Step 4: Snip off the round 5-pin female plug and strip all the wiring down a half inch.

Step 5: Proceed to tin the stranded wire ends. tinning means to apply hot motlen solder to the stranded wire, which helps to solder two separate wires together.

Step 6: Admire your soldering job and apply insulation. I used cheap electrical tape, but you should spend a few cents and get some shrink tube.

Step 7: Double check that no exposed wire is showing, and test our your new lcd meter. Hold the center power button to turn on. To keep the backlight on for easy viewing, press and hold the up arrow. If you hold and press the down arrow, your bike will lurch forward at a walking speed, so be careful!

      FAQ:
Q: I press and hold the up arrow like you said and my bike wants to go for a ride. What gives?
A: You installed your LCD button upsidedown. Reverse it and you should be fine.
Q: Halp! Why is my LCD screen upside down?
A: You installed your LCD screen upside down. /reverse it and you should be fine.
Q: After installing the LCD, I am unable to engage the throttle and the bike does not move, yet everything is on. What Gives?
A: Check that the LCD screen is actually on, you must have the LCD turned on in order for you to power your bike and use the motor.

My lcd has just died on my Fold sport from water damage I'm quite sure so this is my perfect opportunity to upgrade I have been looking at the 750w bafang rear hub motor and they say it will lace in 350w motor no problem but I have the 250w bafang rear hub motor. Will it fit? But first I want too upgrade the sondors lcd to the ktc3 25 amp and 25 amp controller and will wait till sondors have the 48v 14 amp available in Europe  until i upgrade the motor as the 38v 8.8amp battery won't be powerful enough. Any suggestions or problems with my plan I would appreciate feed back

Hello everyone, I currently have an Original Sondors Fat Tire bike from 2016 (I believe).  I purchased it from a friend who had performed some upgrades to it.
      As the bike sits today:
Luna Storm 48v 20ah Battery Controller Model KT36/48ZWSRMD-SLSLD02 Rated for DC 36v or 48v, Rated current 12A Maximum current 25+-1A (Assuming this is from Luna as well) Original Motor Bafang RMG06 36v 350W(10) 26-1-1508195560-6 LCD Luna LCD Dashboard for Sondors KT-LCD3 Took the bike out for a ride the other day after it had been sitting in the garage for about a month and received a motor hall connection error on my LCD screen. Tried the usual unplugging the connection under the chainstay and making sure I had charged the battery. I'm wondering if I am able to replace the cable coming out of my motor (if that is the culprit) or if I need to replace the motor altogether. If that is the case, would anyone recommend I upgrade to a 48v motor? Would it make a difference/ work with my existing upgrades? I'm new to the forum and Ebike scene in general so I appreciate any help. Thanks!
