Hey folks that are patiently, or impatiently, awaiting a shipping notice or bike, please read this. Based on our experience with this in 2015, here is what you can expect: As containers arrive in LA, UPS take possession and gets them processed through customs. There are hundreds of bikes per container, and probably a dozen containers. As each container is opened, UPS will mark them as received and you may get a notice with an expected delivery date (either from UPS or Sondors). This does not necessarily mean that it is on a truck yet or has left the facility The bikes are shipped by truck, not air. Once it leaves LA you may not get any update for days as the truck works it's way to your regional or local hub where it will be offloaded and scanned again. Not getting an update for a few days is normal. You will sometimes get a planned delivery notice once it gets to your local UPS. However, sometimes it just shows on your doorstep. Sometimes it shows up on your doorstep when the tracking shows that it's still in LA. It's quite inconsistent, and nobody should panic. If you get a notice, be patient. It can take more than 2 weeks to get to you depending on how fast they empty the containers and when they find space in a truck, how long the drive is, etc. Signing up for UPS My Choice might give you more info, but sometimes not. Whatever you do, don't start bombarding Sondors with emails about "where is my bike" yet. They have probably opened 1 of a dozen containers so far and are working through things over the next couple of weeks We all know there's a huge shipment of bikes coming. Thousands of bikes. I can feel the excitement, or maybe it's just me lol. But anyway I can feel the pressure building. We don't mind you posting your delivery notice, but please don't post your tracking number. Just black that part out, and you're good to go. You don't want anyone the be able to reroute your delivery to my house do you? Moderators will delete all posts we see with tracking numbers. Brian Meade posted a topic in Q&A, Help & TroubleshootingHi, So I ordered a black THIN chain drive back in February through Indiegogo. I got a notice from UPS on June 20th that the ordered was processed and ready for UPS, and that it was estimated that I would receive my bike on June 22nd. Well that date came and went and every time I've checked my tracking number through UPS the status is still the same... which is that my order is processed and ready for shipment. What that means is that Sondors has created the shipping label through UPS but UPS does not have my package for shipment... so this is not a UPS problem whatsoever. For the first few days I figured there was just some slight delay... but now it's been two weeks and still no status change, which leads me to believe there was some sort of mixup or that Sondors shipped my bike to someone else. I've tried emailing Sondors at firstname.lastname@example.org but the only response I've gotten is their autoreply and a link to their FAQ page (which does not address my issue). Just to be clear... I know for certain this is not a UPS issue as I already checked that all out. My questions.... - Has this happened to anyone, and if so, what happened? - Anyone know how to actually get in touch with Sondors about an issue like this? - Are there others out there who bought their bike back in Feb. who still haven't received it yet? Gotta say I'm pretty darn frustrated, mostly due to how non-existant their customer service is. Any advice would be super welcome!
Welcome to the Sondors Owner Forum. I will tell you some important information for your new KickStarter Sondors eBike. Lets start: 0. If UPS tells you the wrong color options on the tracking site Just don’t panic. We’ve been told by a Sondors insider that there was a glitch in the UPS notice creation but that the RIGHT bikes will be arriving. 1. Assemble your new eBike If you need an instruction or help: 2. After your first test ride Write down your serial. It’s located on the left side of the crank housing if you have a aluminum frame. If you don’T have a aluminum frame its located around the steering head. Sondors doesn’t keep track of these numbers, so it’s up to you to do so. (On the IGG bikes the number is also located around the steering head) 2.1 Bike Lock. Get a good one (or two) Just don’t use cable locks, they are really very easy to cut. (There are already stolen Sondors eBikes only secured with cable lock) Get at least a Level 10 Bike Lock. You should spend around 10% of your bike costs for the bike security. Lock your bike with the frame. If you only lock your tire, the thief can remove the tire and take without it. I have two locks. The first which is used on the back tire is a ABUS Bordo Big 6000 (foldable lock) with 120cm length (Level 10). The second is a standard chain lock for the front tire. Just to make the bike for a thief so unattractive as possible. 3. LCD You want to upgrade your bike with an awesome LCD? If you buy it from an vendor (so not the official from Sondors). It will not work. You have to change the Controller also. 3.1 Some nice to have links: LCD for Sondors eBike (not compatible with KS Bikes without changing controller) Controller for Sondors eBike - 20A (recommended) | 25A More Accessories / Replacements: https://sondorsforum.com/forum/6-sondors-ebike-accessories/ 4. If you haven’t already seen our map get ready for an amazing sight. 5. Technical Problem If you have a problem with your new awesome bike that has just arrived, please contact Sondors directly on this e-mail adress: email@example.com since you have a limited 30 Days warranty.
