I don't know about the rest of you but one of the first things I did was to put some more street friendly tires on my Sondors fat bike. I ended up going with the Vee Rubber Speedsters in a 26" x 3.5" x 120TPI size. They sort of look like snake skin on the bike, large but still cool. I find for my riding needs, since I do mostly street and gravel/paved types of roads, these work very well. I am running them at around 20PSI for now (rated at 36PSI max), and have the upgraded fork up front to help absorb some of the impact. They are much quieter, don't self-steer when gusts of wind hit them, and were reasonably priced. I used Surly 26" x 3.0-4.8 tubes to replace the large 26" x 4.9" stock tubes. They are also about half the weight of the stock tires, dropping around 2000g off the total bike weight. I had considered something a bit lower profile like @biknut's Maxxis Hook Worm 26" x 2.5" but they were a bit too low profile for me. I thought these were a nice compromise while still keeping the fat bike look. So what do you use or recommend for replacement tires?
