  1. need to know what "03 Info" means on my display i just jot my bike in December and already its giving me some weird code.... what does this mean - and how come you sonders is so lazy as to give out information on the LCD controller for my FOLD X. half of the codes and modes of the LCD are not described anywhere. At the moment i'll just settle ok knowing what a flashing " 03 Info" on my display means. Everytime i use the assist throttle on my FOLD X - i get this message and customer support for sonders has been pretty cruddy... can anyone here help as to what might be causing the issue. there is also a slight noise form the motor that i do not recall hearing before (but perhaps its just me).
  2. Just Ordered Fold X, LCD Screen question? I am Gary from Lagrange Ga. I just ordered a Fold X for myself and one for my wife, both with the 7 speed option. The info on the site shows the LCD screen and states 5 gears and 5 levels of assist. Referring to the LCD screen it states "this option supplies Fold “X” with five gears and five levels of electric pedal assist plus added torque for increased hill-climbing power, even greater range, and improved towing capacity." I understand the levels of assist but what would the 5 gears be that would be controlled from the LCD display? Does the LCD screen show miles or speed on the original bikes?

    Winter Riding

  5. I purchased four Sondors and love all four but I love my wife more and she believes we have two too many Sondors so I listed two on the Atlanta, GA Craigslist. I purchased two Fold X, one Sondors X 7 with suspension & LCD and a Thin 7 with the LCD-suspension & the battery upgrade. The Sondors X and the Sondors Thin both are too tall for my wife and almost too tall for me. The Sondors Fold turns out to be the best fit for us for the type of riding we do. I discounted the Thin a little more because I would rather let it go rather than the Sondors X. I am trying to sell the Thin 7 at my cost minus the shipping and LCD Screen cost and the Sondors X at my cost minus the shipping. If we would have been able to ride the Sondors before purchasing we would had discovered the two were too tall and would have only purchased the Folds. If I do not sell the Sondors X I plan to strip the drive system and install it on one of my recumbents. If you live anywhere near Lagrange, Georgia and are interested in a Sondors bike but would like to ride one before purchasing any Sondors bikes contact me and I will try to arrange a test ride even if you are not interested in purchasing mine. I do not have any other experience with electric bikes other than the four I own but I cannot imagine any others being much better than these except more size options.
  6. I put together my wife's Fold X and the front fork came apart after I reassembled it.I have a "washer".. left over. ;). It is thick..maybe 1/4" or 7mm thick with a thin rubber washer on the inside in the middle. It has a "lip" on one side and is flat on the other. I need a blow up of the front fork to see where this goes..Us old-timers called it a Parts micro-fiche. When I was in the Air Force we called it a Illustrated Parts Breakdown....I don't know what people call them now. I have searched on here using all the combinations Of these that I can think of...no go!!! Thanks for your advice!!!
  7. Good day to all...While impressed by the package of the Fold X, 48v 500w bike, Id like to unlock some power. Will the Storm 20a controller be a plug and play upgrade? I have the Sonders LCD and throttle w/ on/off button.
  8. Still figuring out the Fold X LCD settings preference, but it seems the top speed setting will reset if the battery was powered off. Anyway to make it remember?
  9. It seems on our Fold X 7, the hand brake levels have to be installed fairly far away from the grips due to throttle, shifter, LCD, and PAS buttons. Is there an alternative mounting arrangement instead of putting the levers toward on the inside, which makes it hard to reach?
  10. Our Fold X has arrived, and I was able to assemble it myself tonight. Not sure if I have enough time to test ride it before my flight tomorrow, but I was able to test it using the throttle with the rear wheel propped off the ground. Meanwhile, I am not able to find any tire pressure info with my search in this forum. The side wall says 20 PSI.

    Fold X, Good on Snow?

Still waiting for our Fold X to ship. Since we had our first snow today, I wonder how well a Fold X runs on snow? After all, it is a "fat bike", right?
  12. 3" Tires on a Fold X Hello Sonderites, I just ordered a Fold X single speed in White. I would like to know if it is possible to replace the 4" tires with 3" or thinner, as I live in NYC and could use something a little more nimble to navagate Taxis, and Restaurant delivery bikes. I'm also looking for custom Colored Tires , if anyone knows a company producing these. Thanks, Brtt750
